Infinitus Gran Reserva Merlot  Argentina Vineyard location: Rio Negro, Patagonia Age of the vineyard: over 40 years old Grapes: 100 % Merlot Alcohol: 14,5 % Harvest: 8th to 26th April Yielding: 40 Hl / Ha Deleafing and green picking. All the grapes are picked by hand and transported in small trays of 20 kg. Double selection is performed: first selection of the bunches and a second selection grape by grape. Bleeding: 25 % Fermentation: with indigenous yeast at 28 °C in order to preserve the optimum expression of the “terroir”. Four pumping over per day and a long maceration period of 30 days. Ageing: 100 % of the wine was aged in French oak barrels during 12 months. Final clarification with fresh egg whites. Drinkable: 10 years. Tasting notes: intense, deep, cherry red color. Generous palate with nuances of wild berries, hints of chocolate, spices and delicious vanilla. Long and elegant structure with delicate and soft tannins. With all types of meat, especially those prepared with wine base sauces. |
