New Zealand

Alcohol: 13.0%
Titratrable Acidity: 3.5 g/l
ph: 6.5
Residual Sugar: 2 g/

Colour: Deep crimson with purple hues.

Aroma: Reminiscent of picking blackcurrants in a field full of violets would best describe initial impressions. Upon closer inspection strawberry and raspberry fruits abound diversified with toasty oak. Some complexity of cigar box and wild game is beginning to appear.

Palate: The palate is rich and full with layers of warm plum and berry fruit flavours. The soft ripe tannins ensure the wine persists well with good length of flavour hinting of liquorice and spice.

Food Match: Superb with barbequed spare ribs.

Cellar: Up to five years with confidence
