Malbec was first cultivated in Côt Rouge, France, and is known for producing well extracted wines with a sort of oily silkiness to them. Malbec bottlings feature good body, medium acidity and nice pepper, blackberry, black plum and cinnamon notes.

Aging8 months in small American oak barrels, 60% of the blend.
ColorIntense purple-red.
AromaPerfectly integrated fruit and wood; black cherry, blackberry, some spicy and subtle smoked tones.
PalateNice volume, excellent fruit / wood balance. Smooth tannins and a velvety finish.
Food PairingGrilled vegetables, meat stews, Mexican specialties and duck or goose dishes.
