One of the secrets of this remarkable Franciacorta lies in its name. Satèn, in fact, refers to the “idea of silk”, wisp-like weft and fineness of the satin. It was produced for the first time in 1980 from chardonnay and pinot blanc grapes along with a lower than normal syrup dosage at the sparkling stage in order to obtain a Franciacorta with fine sparkle and the consistency of “cream”.
It has a very fine delicate fragrance and a particularly gentle taste. It is a splendid wine to drink as an aperitif.
